Installed: Unknown. Refurbished and re-installed at an unknown date, converted from a 3-signal 1003 to a 2-signal 1000T.

-FS&S Thunderbolt 1000T, ~200ft (main unit)

Noteworthy details: This thunderbolt was converted from a 1003 to a 1000T at some point. In early 2023, this siren received a new chopper.

For the final first Tuesday test of the year that I could attend in Illinois, I decided to re-visit Frankfort's lone thunderbolt. I tried filming it in June of 2023 but Frankfort did not test. Thankfully, they tested today, and I was treated to a full 3 minutes of this screaming thunderbolt in action. It was pretty loud. Everything went well except for the fact that my tripod lost balance which caused the camera to dip slightly. This caused the horn to get cut out of the video. Can't win 'em all I guess. Also, there was a squirrel hanging on the pole of the siren while it was sounding. The squirrel was alive and unhurt.
