Not washing the boat... I know, seems harsh but the dust on the boat wasn't going to be an issue. This hull had many surface scratches that were needing attention and so knowing that Perfect-it ex ac can breakdown and keep working after any dust had left a mark, had me confident that that nor the water spots were going to be much more than a momentary thought.
I was in a crunch for time today, sorry. I don't own all my time. Applying and removing fire glaze with a Dual action buffer with a soft foam pad (any soft foam pad) working it into the surface of the gelcoat until only a slight remnant of the polish remains. I then wipe it off and grin.
If you have a brand new, just popped out of the factory, apply Fire Glaze and if you maintain the boat (clean it and maintain it) you might just reapply the stuff next year and the year after that and if you're a good boat owner, not see a buffer mistreat your boat for years and even then, much more gently.
I still don't appreciate Cobalt having raised letting on this boat but since we used Fire Glaze since the 1st day, they didn't totally suck to make look passable.
I have many more (300+)videos; before and after boat detailing videos including boat waxing, boat buffing...

Anyone can hit a rock with a hammer; getting the rock to look like something that belongs in museums and books... Takes a love of hitting rocks with a purpose and not just the right tools/products.
I use a DeWalt DWP849X
If I'm going for perfection in gelcoat, I don't use a ceramic (unless a very new boat) I prefer the ease, cost and reliability of Fire Glaze by RMP
