MUSIC TEACHING TIPS: This is the folk song "Sally Go Round the Sun" done three ways. The first way is to sing it with students holding hands and walking in a circle, then changing direction on the word "boom." The second way is to sing the song in your head and keep the beat with your feet and again change direction on the word "boom." This is great for kindergarten and first grade (elementary school). The third way is to sing it as a three-part canon with three circles. The circles start walking in the same direction as they start to sing, and then change direction at different times as they each get to the "Boom." The words we sang are "Sally go round the sun/Sally go round the moon/Sally go round the chimney pot/Every afternoon. Boom!" Alternative lyrics are "Sally goes round the sun, Sally goes round the sun, Sally goes round the sunshine every afternoon. Boom!"

SUGGERIMENTI PER INSEGNARE LA MUSICA: Questa è una canzone popolare “Sally go Round the Sun” eseguita in tre modi. Il primo è di cantare mentre gli studenti, tenendosi per mano, camminano facendo un cerchio e cambiando direzione alla parola “boom.” Il secondo modo è di cantare nella testa e tenere la battuta con i piedi, sempre cambiando direzione alla parola “boom.” Questo modo va bene specialmente per l’asilo e per la prima elementare. Il terzo modo e di cantarla come un canone in tre parti con tre cerchi.
