Watch along as I draw a very simple, mixed media zendoodle abstract drawing of curved lines, overlapping in the middle, with a couple of circles for added interest and my favourite lines as fillers. I'd been working on some very complicated patterns and was just looking at ways to make the drawings a little less complex.
I had a couple of little accidents, one which I was able to paint the black ink over, the other - well that will need some delicate cropping of the paper at a later date.
This was my second or third time of using the Gouache paint, which does need water adding to it, but finding the right ratios is still a work in progress. This needed two coats as the first coat was a little wishy washy in places.
The lines were not as perfect as they could have been!
Really happy with the composition, it's simple, not overdone. Hope you find it easy enough to follow along, but if you'd like me to do this one as a Let's Doodle, with step by step instructions - just ask in the comments below.
This one took about 40 minutes to complete.
In this drawing I'm using the following equipment
Black Gel Pen,
Unipin Fine Liner,
Circles Template,
190gsm Watercolour Paper
Cobalt Turquoise Winsor and Newton Gouache,
Winsor and Newton Indian Ink
I hope you enjoy watching!
If you stopped by, I’d love to hear from you in the comments — it’s always lovely seeing likes, but a quick hello helps give me a little boost too. 💬💗

After becoming ill in October 2022, With a subsequent diagnosis of Grave's Disease (May 23- in remission Oct 24), I decided to create tutorials for all of my flowers and makes. I'd spent 8 years perfecting my techniques and had to close down all my selling platforms, due to my health. But decided to share my techniques on You Tube, so the knowledge can be passed on.
With no improvement in my health and a diagnosis of Connective Tissue Disease (Feb 24), and Cutaneous Lupus (Jun 24).
For my well-being, I am now focusing on all the art techniques and crafts which I've always wanted to try, but never did.. It's something I can do - even when I'm exhausted from the fatigue of my illness, I can just sit quietly and draw.
