Acaia Pearl unboxing

Quick something to take away a minute of your day - I just bought the Pearl. I needed a larger surface for the portafilter and some filter brews (and a second scale in general). Not gonna lie, this thing is freaking awesome. Just passing it by and looking at it feels awesome, using it is awesome. The beep is awesome! No wonder this thing got so popular.

Why have two scales? My beloved Arc gets beaten up sometimes when moving around, I want the scale to last and I'd prefer if it was dedicated for espresso only. Having Pearl makes it very convenient to weigh portafilters, brews and everything else, including doing stuff in the kitchen.
