📚 EVERYTHING to Know & How We ACTUALLY Use the Reading Booster Program from The Good & The Beautiful

⭐️THINGS I FORGOT TO MENTION (because the video got so long....not because I forgot 😅)

1. Make sure to have a consistent schedule for independent reading....otherwise you get that learning backslide. It also helps to boost their confidence!

2. If after day 1 of learning a card, you're hitting a roadblock where the majority of the words are hard to grasp, the booster games help to shake things up. And taking a break from the cards is also a good thing too!! When we went through Booster A and B, there were probably 3 or so cards in each that we really struggled with getting through (I'm talking a two or 3 weeks on them). Reading should be fun...it's ok to step away and come back to the cards when your child (and you!) are more refreshed! 💪

3. It typically takes 2-4 "days" for us to master a set/phonics concept. There have been about 6ish cards that have taken us longer than that to master.

4. Let your kids be challenged from time to time. Mr 7 absolutely LOVES to read....make sure to buy books that they are interested in. His current favorite is a Star Wars spacecraft encyclopedia...I never know what interesting facts I'm going to learn about a TIE fighter or AT-AT!
