Construction is now in full swing at the Adesuwa Flyover along Sapele Road, Benin City, and in this update, we show you exactly what has changed since our last visit.
Just two months ago, this site was mainly clearing, utility relocation, and precast drainage installation. Today, the project has moved into real structural construction.
In this episode of Following the Flyover, we take you back to how the site looked earlier, then walk you through what is being built now — including drainage nearing completion, service lane formation, retaining wall foundations, and the start of abutment construction.
I also spoke with one of the construction workers on site to understand the level of reinforcement being used, and we discuss why the Adesuwa Flyover is taking a different construction approach compared to the Ramat Park Flyover.
Using drone footage, we give you a full overview of the project, explain why this flyover matters for traffic, connectivity, and urban mobility in Benin City, and what to expect in the coming months.
We also look at how this flyover ties into the ongoing reconstruction of the Benin–Sapele Road, bringing multiple infrastructure projects together at this critical junction.
This is an independent, on-ground documentation of public infrastructure — showing progress, challenges, and real impact.
