SRT #1: SRT System with Knots Tied in Advance

This video is part of an evolving series on the Playlist for JRB's Non-mechanical SRT systems and scenarios. It describes the system used in the introductory video. It depicts a typical tree which offers a crotch which can be accessed via a throwball, and demonstrates setting a canopy anchor using a system in which all knots have been tied in advance. Compared to JRB DSRT, the rigging is more complex, but the ascent technique is easier, requiring the movement of one hitch instead of two. If the climber is comfortable tying a Longhorn Agile Hitch, that opens up many possibilities. Watch the evolving playlist for examples.
