How many famous landmarks can you name from the flight?! This is the day I was so excited about showing you guys! Not so much because I had any fancy editing planned, but because of the spectacular scenery I was able to fly over...especially Zion. Initially my flight plan took me south of the park, but as I got closer I just couldn't help myself. Once I saw the park, I cancelled my flight plan and did some exploring. Seeing the park from the air like that was the exact same feeling I had as when I saw the park for the first time 6 years ago. It was truly one of the best days I've ever had flying.

Once I arrived at the park, I did some hiking but nothing too strenuous. I was pretty tired from the flight! Of the two shots I took, I really enjoy the maple leaf on the rolled sand. (By the way, does anyone know what causes sand to curl up like that?!) My second shot of the day was just a shot of a beautiful scene...it really doesn't do much for me. This was something I was concerned about as I was composing, but I decided to try it anyway. Oh well, at least it shows some amazing color!
