AKSI NYATA ENGLISH CAMP

English Camp 2023 at SMK Negeri 1 Sawan
English Camp is a yearly agenda of SMK N 1 SAWAN that is specially arranged for XI grade students. It aims at building English speaking environment where students communicate in English confidently.
At an English camp students spend some of time in English classes with other for joining in with exciting activities and excursions such as Tour Guidung, Treasure Hunt, Leaf Game Frog, English Quiz, and Karaoke,
First activity is Treasure Hunt:
The aim of the treasure hunt game is to motivate the students' willingness to fulfill a challenge.
Where there is a challenge, there must be a reward when they finished it. the treasure itself is the reward.
More over, the treasure hunt game is also to build togetherness, because they need to break the clue to get the next step to find the treasure.
Its also develop students' knowledge in order to break the clue which consist of several questions.

Then, Communication Gesture Game:this game is a group game that is played by conveying or communicating English messages in a chain from the first person to the last person by making gestures according to the intended messages. The aim of this game is to train students' ability to understand gesture (body) language, as well as train students' cooperation and concentration in conveying messages, The hope to be achieved is that by playing this game, students are expected to be able to understand the gesture or body language, concentrate, and be able to work together as a team in conveying English messages

Next, Leap Games frog is a game that aims to train physically, have fun with the team. The leap frog game is a game where players jump over their friends' bent backs. Starting with students jumping in a relay, taking turns with their next friend to the finish line. Students who arrive at the finish line first will be given one verb or noun to make a sentence, that way students can practice their English skills and improve their English while playing and exercising.

Then, the next acivity is Tour Guide that will explore several places around the Menyali village. And will take about 30-60 minutes walk.

Bokor Manufacturer
Bokor is a traditional handycraft made from brass or aluminium.
The handycraft is very useful in daily life. Such as for lamp case, food container, facial tissue container, herbs container.

Rice mill

Here is a rice mill. In this place the paddy is dried under the sun for 2-3 weeks. After that the paddy is processed into rice in the milling machine.

Local cuisine.
In this store, they have balinese traditional snack. Injin, made from black rice. godoh made from fried banana, laklak made from rice flour baked above traditional stove. And the topping are grated coconut and palm sugar.

Paninjoan Temple.
Here is one the temple where the locals used to pray. The big tree is called Kepuh Tree.

Simantri.
There is simantri in the village, where a group of locals look after cows. The cows here mostly female, and 1 male. They are raised not for milk jor meat, but theynare raised to produce offsrping so the farmer can sell it. And they are raised for poop, the cow poop is used for vertilizer, the school is one the customer.

After that, English Quiz : The aim of the English quiz is to practice the students in different activities. There are many advantages to learning through an English quiz. It helps the students learn new words and helps them understand how to use them. the Students can practice critical thinking and develop a habit of creative learning by practicing quizzes. These tests incorporate gaming mechanics into the learning process and provide students with immediate feedback on their areas of weakness. It is essential to have a strong command of the language to perform well. Completing an English quiz will help the students check their level of language proficiency and identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Last but not least, Another fun activity as a closing ceremony of English Camp is Singing a song. Each class should participate singing an English songs to entertain the participant
