Lot 93: Tafelklavier Deutschland, Fortepiano, Squarepiano, ~1780-1800

Dieses unsignierte Tafelklavier wurde zwischen 1780-1800 in Deutschland gebaut. Die vier Handzüge zur Bedienung der Mutationen ermöglichen ein sehr farbenreiches Spiel: geteilte Dämpfung (FF-h0 und c1-f3) und geteiltes Harfenbrett (FF-h0 und c1-f3).
Das Tafelklavier besitzt eine FF-f3 umfassende Klaviatur mit deutscher Prellmechanik und einer hölzernen Unterdämpfung. Die Hämmerchen sind beledert.
Die Mechanik erinnert in der Konstruktionsweise sehr an die Mechanik von Melchior Guante aus Münster. Es ist möglich, dass das Instrument aus dem Umkreis dieses Instrumentenbauers stammt.

This unsigned squarepiano was built in Germany between 1780-1800. The four handstops for operating the mutations allow for very colourful playing: divided damping (FF-h0 and c1-f3) and divided harp-stop (FF-h0 and c1-f3).
The table piano has a FF-f3 keyboard with a German “Prellmechanik” and a wooden under-damping. The hammers are covered with leather.
The construction of the action is very reminiscent of the action by Melchior Guante from Münster. It is possible that the instrument comes from the circle of this instrument maker.
