My "Top 10" List. (If I had to pick a Collection of Personal Favorites. From all the years.)

Hi All,
After 50 (er so) years - of hearing & playing so many wonderful songs.
It's hard to whittle 'em down. To a handful of favorites.
So - I just started thinking about the tunes that make me stop what I'm doing - to listen.
Whenever they come on the radio.
Not particularly because of these 'versions' .. but for the songs themselves.
(My recordings are simply a 'tribute' to the 10 terrific originals.)
So - here are some real 'favs.' A nice mix of piano & guitar demos.
The ones I never get tired of hearing - and singing - and appreciating.

My Personal Favorites. (Guitar & Piano demos.)

And - in my early years. Many-an acoustic guitar performance - ended with ... "Taxi."
(Although - "American Pie" & "Wildfire" were pretty popular, too.)
Yet, "Taxi" was usually the .. 'finale.' The one everyone would patiently wait for. (Including me!)

How can one not admire a brilliant piece of music & rhyme ... with lyrics like:
"Through the too many miles ..
and the too little smiles ..
I still ..... remember you."
(Guess it's no surprise - that Mr. Chapin's composition made this "List.")

And - at the end of my many acoustic sets ...
when it came time to say those infamous words: "Harry .. keep the change."
EVERYONE would yell 'em out - along with me. A shout that brought us all together.

And now - hearing 'Taxi' - after all these years ...
Well - the song still brings back - just, the best memories .. ever.

I guess .. they all do.
