What Makes Mario Music So Catchy?

Hello! I'm Scruffy, and today I'm taking a little break from Pikmin content to talk about the music in Nintendo's flagship franchise, Mario! Specifically, I'm looking why and how it is that Mario's many musical motifs get stuck in our heads so easily, with help from some important music theory concepts. I hope you enjoy it!
