Stillness of Singapore Cinematic Vlog - SIRUI 50mm 1.6x Anamorphic Lens

There’s something about shooting Anamorphic that gets you LITERALLY hooked. While on our trip to Asia, we spent a couple of days in Singapore and let’s just say - it was not at all what we expected. Check out what we found, through the lens of our trusty Sony A7SIII, with the @SiruiIMAGING VENUS 50mm T2.9 1.6x Anamorphic lens.

We were travelling super light, no gimbal and not even a decent tripod, so all of this was shot handheld and manually focussed on the lens itself (no follow focus or anything). We did however have our @Accsoon SeeMo 4K with us, on top of the camera, paired with an iPhone 13 Pro to be able to monitor de-squeezed footage on the go.

This is the third SIRUI VENUS lens to add to our collection (We also own the 35mm and the 75mm T2.9 1.6x) We continue to use the set all the time, with the price VS quality being honestly fantastic. It is not without its flaws, for example the flare can sometimes be a little bit strong, but overall - the lenses are an amazing way to dip into the anamorphic world, without breaking the bank.
