Dennis Nicotra, owner and Michael F. Kunz, Mercedes - Benz Classic Center, discuss the first 300 SL purchased in the United States. This "gullwing" with serial number 198 040 4500003 was purchased new by legendary sportsman Briggs S. Cunningham in 1954 and has been documented by the Historic Vehicle Association for inclusion on the National Historic Vehicle Register to reside in the Library of Congress.
