STANAG 4569 Level 2

This high speed video was filmed at 58 852fps of an AK47 Armour Piercing Incendiary round (7.62x39 API) fired at our light weight composite armour with zero preforation. The first part of the round collision is played back at a frame rate of 500fps and the second part at 15fps. The incendiary flash event is only 2.65ms and is not visible even at recording speeds lower than 12 000fps.
