Chicken Feet Curried Soup
Ingredients:
• 12 Chicken feet ,( Cut The Nails Off Using A Scissors, Soak In Water with 2 Tsp Of Vinegar For 10 Minutes & Rinse It Well)
• 1 Tsp Chilli Powder
• 1 Tsp Salt
• 1 Tbsp Curry Powder
• 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
• 2 Tbsp Grated Garlic
• Some Oil For Cooking
• Some Hot Water
• 2 Tbsp Grated Ginger
• 1 Tsp Chicken Seasoning (Optional)
• 1/2 Tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 Tsp Turmeric
• 1 Small Onion Chopped
• 1/4 Cup Of Chopped coriander Leaves
Method:
1. Take a large pot, put it on medium heat, add 2-3 tbsp of oil and heat it.
2. Add cumin and mustard seeds, mix it and cook it for 30 seconds.
3. Add onions, give it a mix and cook it until the onions get a light brown colour.
4. Add ginger and garlic, give it a mix and cook it for 30 seconds.
5. Add chicken feet, chilli powder, curry powder, turmeric, pepper, chicken seasoning and salt. Mix it well and cook it for 1 minute.
6. Add enough hot water to cover the chicken feet, mix it well, put a lid on and bring it to a boil.
7. When it starts to boil, mix it again ,put the lid back on , leaving a small gap for the steam to escape, lower the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring it frequently.
8. After 20 minutes, mix it again and taste your salt. It doesn't need any more salt but you can always add salt according to your taste.
9. Turn the heat off and garnish it with some fresh or frozen coriander leaves.
10. Tasty Chicken Feet is ready and you can make it and serve it on its own or with some buttered toast, rice, pooris or roti.
