Tracing that dream - Yoasobi [Piano cover]

This video would probably be the most messy I've made in a while considering that I haven't record a full 4 minutes cover in my studio for 2 months O-O I easily got pressured from it. Ahh I hate camera anxiety , I'd rather perform in real life than to record because the recording session would take 2-4 hours because of the retakes whereas performing live would only be one take . . .

Anyway, heres my cover for Tracing that dream by Yoasobi! I actually have finished arranging this song way back in July but due to some reasoning of preparing for college, I had to delay the post until today and I think this is a right timing to post this. Now that I am much more organized with my schedule, I can see myself being consistent with my practice as well as balancing my time to do the college assignment.

About this arrangement, the octave spam for the intro is probably the riskiest part of this arrangement. Those octave spam literally gave me nightmare lmao thankfully I do not have to repeat it again otherwise i'd be crying out of despair- Literally most of the time spent for the retake is spent on the intimidating octave spam part.

For the chorus, especially the left hand. Ahh how much I love using this because of the rhythm but at the same time I would try to avoid using this pattern at any cost because of the fast, huge jumping notes. Just like the intro, If I were to use other alternative pattern, it would not feel as powerful as I wanted it to be. Therefore, I just leave it as it is.

And for the final chorus, I change just a little bit by playing some melodical line in the left hand to give it the ending vibe for this arrangement. If I were to just repeat the fast jumping pattern, it would just sound repetitive and predictable. So I thought, diverting it just a little bit would sound much more drawn in.

Lmao for the outro, I just decided to leave it as it is. The fast octave spam in the intro is torturous enough, let alone playing it again but in different key?? Nah
