The Mighty Oak Did Fall... | Round Oak Steel Works - Part 2
This is the second part of my documentary on the legendary Round Oak Steel Works in Brierley Hill – once known for making some of the finest steel in the world.
In this film, I cover the story from the First World War right up to its heartbreaking closure in 1982. You'll hear direct from the men who worked there, with powerful interviews from George Hutton, Ronald #bchh Walters, and Les Pinches – voices of a lost industry that shaped generations in the Black Country.
If you haven’t seen Part 1 yet, make sure you check that out first.
I'm the Black Country History Hunter, and this is not just history – this is our history.
