FAIRHAVEN VILLAGE MILITIA
The Fairhaven Village Militia was spared from bad weather on the second day of an encampment recreation held at Fort Phoenix, Sunday, June 8, 2025. We handed Wayne Oliveira our camera as he walked along the encampment with a tour.

Step back in time as you experience a piece of living history at the very site where early American revolutionaries took their stand against the tyrannies of the British Colony!
The Fairhaven Village Militia held their Spring Encampment for a weekend of living history at Fort Phoenix! Spectators walked among costumed reenactors as they demonstrated flintlock musket drills, military training, and colonial crafts such as tin smithing, leatherworking, sewing, and fire starting. They also watched food being prepared over an open campfire and learned about life in 1770s Fairhaven. Source: / fairhavenmilitia
