Night Riders -Portland Eboarding Crew Season 2 Episode 2. Portland's largest gathering of ESK8s, One Wheels, and other Personal Electric Mobility devices. We meet at 700pm and roll out at 730pm.

Four Bridges, Three Rides, Two Beer Stops, One Awesome Ride!

Our three main checkpoints are listed below. You can join us later in the ride if you arrive late.

Onewheel, Electric skateboard, EUC, scooters, and ebike. All are welcome. If It is just “lightly” raining we will ride. If it is just dumping on us we will hit a local bar for a beer and still have a good time.

We meet at OMSI at 7:00pm and then roll at 7:30pm. Parking is available behind OMSI next to the large red storage building if you are unable to find anywhere else to park. There is “no parking” or you will be towed signs there. Unlikely to happen though without a “warning” placed on your windshield.

There is an outlet on site where if you need to top off your charge you can. This outlet is through a black steel fence next to the large submarine propeller (screw) on the waterfront next to OMSI. The security staff at OMSI has graciously allowed us to use this if needed. I can provide two different three-way power splitters for you to share the power outlet. I also carry a Charge and Ride setup if you have a Onewheel Plus or V1 that needs a top-off on any part of the ride.

When we roll we head South to the Tillicum Bridge Crossing heading to the Westside.

Our next quick stop is The Salmon Street Fountain. There are restroom facilities close by just let someone know that you are leaving the group for a moment or you may find that we have moved on.

We will head to the Hawthorn Bridge and cross over to the waterfront then head towards the east end of the steel bridge. There is a large circular area on the west side of the with a large metal sculpture in the center where we will gather up and make sure any slower riders have caught up with us.

We cross some train tracks from there and we follow a riverfront path along the waterfront close to some condos. There is a wooden covered decking area that we once again gather up our group and stay together for the trip to New Seasons.

We then head to Pepinos and will be there from 8:00pm to 9:30pm
Please no smoking or vaping on the premises. Please hold off on tricks or
curb drops in front of the establishment. Be generous with your tips we want to come back another time in the future.

We depart Pepinos by 9:30pm.
Our ride down Everett Street is close by.

The trip back to The Salmon Street Fountain is an adventure through downtown Portland. This is the most random part of the ride. The selected leader chosen will keep it interesting, safe, and fun. This part is unpredictable and that makes it a great adventure.

Then we head to the West side of the Tillicum Crossing Bridge. Often there are those who choose to go home from there at that time. Others choose to ride to the next destination The Growler Guys at 3739 SW Bond Ave.

We arrive at The Growler Guys around 10:00pm and order beer. There is so much choice in this wonderful beverage place. This once again is a great place to charge your batteries. There are many outlets to choose from. Often at this point, some will choose to go home from there. Others will depart with us around 11:00pm to 11:10pm for the third leg ride.

The third leg:
We take the west side along the river and head south to the Sellwood Bridge.
We cross the Sellwood Bridge over to the east side and head north on the Springwater Trail back to OMSI.

Some important rules and notes about our group.
Always treat other members with respect. We are a hate-free group!

Riding can be dangerous, to ensure the safety of riders and to avoid being a public nuisance, we strongly recommend learning and practicing the following guidelines before attending a group ride.

ROAD SAFETY
Wear a helmet. We can't force everyone, but this is mandatory for underage riders
Avoid pack mentality and be aware of your own moves. For example, don't blindly follow other riders through red lights or assume the path ahead is safe
Build up a confident level of riding experience on your own
Hold out an arm in the direction that you're turning to let riders behind you know; hold a fist above your head for stopping
Remain cautious and don't assume cars will stop for you
Attach lights to your helmet and/or board to be seen by others at night

RIDING ETIQUETTE
Respect pedestrians and stop within a reasonable distance
Don't abuse whistles/horns
Share the responsibility of ensuring no riders are left behind
Split large groups into waves to minimize risks
Always bring your board's charger and spare belts, if necessary
