Start outside all month: beats, carrots, parsnips, radishes, turnips, potatoes, spinach, Swiss chard, arugula, Asian greens, collard greens, kale, lettuce, caraway, cilantro, dill, parsley, marjoram, summer savory, lemon balm, anise Hyssop, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, peas, beans, kohlrabi, chives, leeks, scallions and sunflowers.

Start indoors beginning of month: tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, ground, cherries, tomatillos.

Start indoors late April: basil, cucumber, melons, pumpkins, summer squash, winter squash.
