Corset Making: Stiffened Floating Modesty Panel | Lucy's Corsetry

In this video I show how to create your own modesty panel (lacing protector) using leftover fabric from your homemade corset. I show you step-by-step how to:
Measure for your modesty panel and choose the suitable length and width.
Fuse (reinforce) your face fabric to a stronger base fabric.
Assemble your modesty panel right-sides together, flip and top-stitch.
Mark the position of the laces on the modesty panel to show where on the corset it will sit.
Thread the modesty panel onto the laces of the corset.

Then I give a demonstration of how the modesty panel behaves when I lace up my corset.
