Nothing is as important to the success of your garden as properly prepared soil. In Episode 102 of GBH's Victory Garden, Jim Crockett does a home soil test on the garden site and talks about testing and test results. He gives a demonstration of properly preparing the soil using the correct hand tools such as a spade, a fork and a rake. Also, a demonstration of rototilling and adding organic matter and liming and fertilizers. Planting demos include edible pea pods, radishes and spinach.
