I just replayed the Tomb Raider reboot in 2025, and honestly… it surprised me. This game still holds up—maybe even more than I expected. From its cinematic opening to the gritty survival tone, something is refreshing about how focused and polished it feels today. In this video, I reflect on what aged well, what didn’t, and why this linear single-player adventure might be exactly the kind of game we’re missing in 2025 & beyond. Whether you skipped it back in the day or just haven’t touched it in years, Tomb Raider (2013) is worth another look.
Tomb Raider is one of the most iconic tomb-based franchises in janky 3D platformer history, and with this new version, they set out to make a game where you shotgun bad guys for 10 hours and all the puzzles are optional, cementing this game's status as the best Tomb Raider ever.
