I have never used a production eye for my fish in my whole life, always made my own. This method I came up with and use for my production fish, the ones that I sell. In my opinion they are far better than anything that you can buy, primarily because thay have a real pupil, not just a black painted one, that is covered by the iris in a way that looks natural, not painted on a surface.
I promised to present other ways to make round wood sticks here, but that is unnecessary. Just write in "make wooden dowels" on youtube and take your pick!
