නව යොවුන්වියේ සිදුවන ශරීරයේ වෙනස් වීමත් සමග අපේ කටහඩත් වෙනස් වෙනවා. තරුණ පිරිමි ලමුන්ගේ කටහඩ ගැඹුරු , රලු (Low pitch) වෙනවා නමුත් සමහර තරුණයන්ගේ මේ කටහඩ මෙලෙස වෙනස් නොවී ගැහැණු ලමයෙක්ගේ හෝ කුඩා ලමයෙක්ගේ කටහඩක් (High Pitch) ලෙස පවතිනවා.

මෙය පියුබර්ෆෝනියා (Puberphonia) ලෙස හදුන්වනවා. කථන චිකිත්සාව මගින් මේ තත්වය වෙනස් කල හැකි ය.

During puberty our body begins to develop and change from a child to an adult. These changes happen in our voice too. Boys will start to have a deep, low pitch voice but some of them have difficulty in this transformation. They end up having a high pitch female voice instead of a low pitch voice.
As Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) we call this Puberphonia. This can be treated by voice therapy.
