Essentials of Psychoeducational Assessment for Non-School Psychologists

This webinar was designed for psychologists who conduct evaluations in private practice or clinics for educational purposes. Viewers of the recording will become familiar with key psychoeducational evaluation components to increase utility for the children and schools in which they serve. We review essential information that schools use and the regulations they are required to satisfy when using psychological testing to determine eligibility for Special Education services. Topics covered include the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), state and federal eligibility regulations, the three primary models used nationally to establish a Specific Learning Disability (SLD), and recommendations for report writing for educational applications.
