This workshop will start with an overview of what make OpenMx different from other SEM packages and why we designed it this way. A short introduction to model building using the RAM specification will be provided in order to make sure that those unfamiliar with OpenMx can follow the more advanced sections. Models for interaction and moderation will be presented using the OpenMx unique functions of definition variables and products of variables. Finally, multigroup models will be presented using the OpenMx nested model construction. The attendees will leave being able to fit a variety of SEM models that are practical for estimating effects that test complex theories. I hope that OpenMx becomes a go-to tool in your behavioral data science toolbox.
