Three-piece musical project Ali stopped by the Triple R Performance Space – all the way from Jarkarta, Indonesia! Performing their self described ‘Middle Eastern Beats with South East Twists’ – the trio combine elements of 70’s Indonesian rock, cinematic soul, afro beat, funk, and disco. With all lyrics written in Arabic, Ali build on the influence of Middle Eastern art and music, deeply ingrained into Indonesian culture over centuries.
