Mohiniyattam Padam "Sundara Srunu Kantha" - (Irayimman Thampi) with lyrics

This Mohiniyattam composition was adopted from a Kathakali Padam from Utharaswayamvaram Aatakada. Princess Bhanumati from the Mahabharata epic addresses her husband King Duryodhana, the main antagonist of the story of enmity between the two clans. Although the prince was a stubborn ruler and a fierce warrior, his love story with Bhanumati was extremely gentle and romantic🌺❤️. In this sketch, the princess is trying to reconcile with her spouse after an argument. She talks about her inner fire of passion🔥, caused by the arrows of Cupid Kamadeva💘, praises the greatness of her husband⚔️, and also compares the love of a couple with a bee and a flower, which cannot exist without each other🐝🌹.
