Planning Transit Projects in Dictatorships (bad idea)

This is Bucharest, the capital city of Romania.
Bucharest has an extensive transportation system, featuring numerous highways, bus lines, 73.2 kilometers, or 45.5 miles of trolleybus infrastructure, 144 kilometers, or 89.4 miles of tram tracks, and 5 metro lines.
A lot of these, especially the metro, have been constructed under the former communist dictator, Nicolae Ceaușescu.
Like Adam Something likes to say, smooth brain dictator + construction project equals dumb things, and you bet the brain of Ceaușescu was smoother than Megamind’s bald head.
In this video, we'll take a look at the construction of the Bucharest metro, and on the construction of one special station, directly influenced by the former dictator couple.
