Very hard star that gets extremely stressful once you get past thins. I’d put this exactly between One-Star Tour and TD reds in terms of difficulty. The path to thins is honestly not that bad aside from the wallkicks at 03:05 which are kinda tricky (and for some reason I also died quite a few times at the momentum jump at 01:33 so I definitely need to find something more consistent for reds).
About thins: they’re definitely the hardest jump in the star and the main attempt killer, but pauses make them a lot easier, and I mean A LOT. The problem with buffering these thins is that they become insanely exhausting because of the huge amount of inputs you have to give in such a short time, and it’s genuinely painful for my hand... but honestly that’s a small price to pay compared to doing them bufferless.
As for reds, I probably won’t go for them for now. The TD reds buffed ending is incredibly scary, especially the wallkicks from the !box, those are so fucked. The other ending jumps aren’t that bad, but with nerves it’s a complete different story... plus, the reds at spawn make the path to thins like 10 minutes longer. Now, S7 is hard, but the good thing about it is that you get to thins really fast. Doing thins after 15 minutes instead of 5 makes a huge difference in terms of pressure, and I think that aspect alone adds a significant amount of difficulty to the star, regardless of how hard the early jumps are (which also aren't free at all imo).
So yeah, I think I’ll call it with IoF for this year. Hopefully 2026 will be the year I finally beat this monster of a hack :)
PS: I brainfarted the Cdown at 12:30... so grateful I saved it and didn’t die there like an idiot...
PPS: my biggest respect to players who did thins bufferless, you guys are aliens to me.
