The Austrian journalists' club Concordia celebrated their summer ball at the city's town hall. It was attended by the Austrian President. Concordia was founded in 1878, and till it was forbidden in 1938, this ball was the most fashionable in Austria. In 1960, the club arranged to have the ball back again.
