The first video of 2023 is here! Windsurfing and wing foiling at Grafham Water, January 2023.

New Year 2023 arrived with a series of Atlantic low pressure systems generating mild and windy conditions across the UK. As can be typical these resulted in the less favoured predominantly southerly wind direction at Grafham Water - but we did finally arrive at a decent westerly day as one of the lows tracked across the UK.

Still recovering from the man flu there was no way I was heading out on the water, but I did capture the brave and bold who endeavoured to tame the challenging conditions.

George, Speedy Steve, Dave Richards, Andy Purdy and Ian were among the windsurfers giving it a go, whilst Angus headed up the wing foiling fleet.

Technical note - in an effort to improve my video content output I finally got around to attempting post capture colour grading - for my first attempt I was extremely happy with the results, just a bit gutted I took so long to try this (only 32 videos previously uploaded!!). In theory the results improve colour saturation and balance resulting in a more 'cinematic' viewing experience. Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment on YouTube.
