First Home Loan Deposit Scheme Is A Disaster [Buy a home with 5% Deposit]

The First Home Loan Deposit Scheme is an Australian Government initiative designed to support first home buyers purchase their first home sooner. Under the Scheme, eligible first home buyers can purchase a home with a deposit as little as 5 per cent. This is because the government will guarantee up to 15 percent of the value of the property. Effectively they are acting as your guarantor. This means you can buy a home sooner, and avoid paying LMI which represents a significant additional cost.
