Walk for Peace — Day 66 | What Happened in Scottdale, Georgia
On Day 66 of the Walk for Peace, the monks arrived in Scottdale, Georgia, where the journey was met with deep respect, quiet presence, and heartfelt community support.
This is not a protest.
This is not a performance.
This is a moving prayer — step by step — reminding us that peace begins within.
Residents gathered silently, leaders acknowledged the walk, and many hearts were touched as the monks continued their ascetic journey toward Washington, D.C. Alongside them walks Aloka, the little dog who has become a symbol of compassion for all beings.
In a world full of noise, Scottdale offered stillness.
