May the 31st 2025 saw M class 4-6-2 'Pacific' number 5 undergoing light engine test runs at the Tasmanian Transport Museum. The locomotive has just returned to service following an extensive overhaul, which included the fitting of new tyres, mechanical repairs and boiler work. The tests were in preparation for the engines official public runs on June the 8th.
