In today’s vlog, I talk honestly about the current job situation in Sweden; the layoffs, the unstable job market, and what it actually feels like navigating work as an immigrant in the Nordics. It has been a strange season in Sweden, and many people are feeling uncertain… so I wanted to share my own reflections.
I also took you with me to Fittja, one of my favourite places to shop for African food in Stockholm. There’s something comforting about finding familiar ingredients far away from home, knorr cubes 😃.
In this video, I also reflect on the difference between starting a business in Sweden vs Nigeria, and how the systems, mindset, and opportunities compare. One country makes it easy to start; the other makes it harder to start. This contrast has been on my mind a lot lately.
