Back in April (2016) as we were making some hot process soap, we realized that it had been a while since we made a hot process video. We've gotten better at it (we think), so we thought we'd share our process for hot process.
This video may be more tutorial in style than some of our others, but we hope you like it.
The soap contains goats milk, local honey, kaolin clay, and silk (verrrry nice!). We also use orange and rosemary essential oils (Oh! so so good!).
The oils are as follows:
olive - 41.38%
coconut 76 degree - 20.69%
palm kernal flakes - 13.79%
sweet almond - 13.79%
avocado - 6.90%
castor - 3.45%
We ran this recipe through soapcalc.net and set the water at 38%.
We used a small amount of green mica from Nurture Soaps.
The mold, silicone liner, and dividers are all from Brambleberry.
We are inspired by watching other soapers, so we like to share our creations - if not to inspire at least to entertain. If you are new to soaping, please be sure always to wear protective gear and always check your recipes in a reliable lye calculator like soapcalc.net, thesage.com, or at brambleberry.com. There is a lot of great information on all these sites.
Thank you for watching.
