Starting off this Sunday Conversation, Alan went around the room and asked each person to say one word associated with how they feel spiritually. Answers ranged from “alone” to “mystified”, but for Alan he felt nothing but gratitude, grateful for his life and everything in it.
There’s a battle of good and evil all around us right now and we need to get back to our center. We need to fight the many distractions that pull us away from the connection we have with our creator.
When you submit your thoughts to your creator, you are left with stillness. All thoughts, fantasies, and distractions are left behind, like meditation. Alan likes to follow up with a repentance of his sins, so in a sense it truly is an act of surrendering to God.
“He that believeth in me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38
