How Can You Be A Weed?

Your Roots firmly hold
Your leaves start to unfold
Inhaling the light
Fuelling a fight
To be the tallest, the strongest
The straightest, the longest
A perfect plant tower
And then comes a flower
Then another … and another
She’ll soon be a mother
So improbably high
She climbs into the sky
A design complicated
Yet so underrated
A wonder indeed.
