I have loved listening to The Corries' version of this song ( • The Corries - The Skye boat song with ly... ) for a long time, and more recently learned it on the dulcimer. It turned out so beautiful! I found that putting it in the key of G, so I could start the song with a 3-3-0 chord (reading from bass to melody) was essential to giving it the right feel to match the peacefulness of The Corrie's rendition.

I'm really happy with how this recording turned out. When I recorded it, I had just gotten over my first migraine, which was fairly awful, but this song was so nice and peaceful to play afterwards. Also, I think for the past few months my phone has not been recording through my external mic like I thought, so the audio quality should be a lot better from here on out.
