The Morningstar is a unique Hyperion Sniper Rifle that is a quest reward for the Hyperion Contract quest relieved in Overlook. It has the special effect of a hidden stacking critical hit multiplier. Obviously it can transfer to other weapons via a glitch for complete overkill against raids or whatever.
The Morningstar performed very well here in the Washburn refinery. I am using the Assassin class, Zer0, specced for sniping.
