The libraries of Timbuktu contains manuscripts of science, literature, and art which pre-dates the likes of William Shakespeare. It is one of the oldest archives in the world, but its age is also one of its weaknesses as the pages decay overtime. Add sinister black market sellers to the mix and suddenly you have a real battle to save one of the world's most valuable written treasures.
