Ted Matts gave me a lift to Robert’s
own place and, en route, he suggested
we see the sunset over Bellingham Bay…
Which is where we met
Celia, Lena, Val, Kalem and Lucas
hanging out, enjoying the very same…
and they were well up for hearing a song
they never heard before from the
somewhat less than totally sober
white haired old hippie who materialised
in front of them asking them
did they wanna hear a song
they never heard before…
The light was perfect and
with the sound of the ocean
as a backing band
I sang…

I could not have planned
a more perfect ending to
my July 2023 East to West
musical journey across The USA…
