Solo Camping on BC Backroads in the Freezing Cold (4x4 Vanlife)

Exploring BC back roads over a few days was an absolutely awesome adventure, with waterfalls, hidden lakes, remote campsites, and stunning viewpoints around Clearwater, Wells Gray Provincial Park, and even into Alberta.

We started the morning chasing waterfalls, beginning with the incredible Triple-Decker Falls near Clearwater. From there, we travelled some scenic FSR roads, taking in the massive forests and amazing mountains along the way. Next stop was Deception & Canim falls, exploring the other side of Wells Gray Provincial Park before the rainstorm rolled in. On the drive back, we made some roadside stops before settling in at an amazing rec site to cook Philly cheesesteaks and enjoy the evening in the back of the car.

The next morning we woke up to a stunning inversion before heading to Little Hells gate Park and the beautiful Mud Lake Rec Site. From there, we explored around Kinbasket Lake, and the Aloha Trail before making it to Mount Robson for some epic views.

The following day we explored Rock Lake Provincial Park, taking in several scenic points along the lake before biking up to Moberly Fire Tower Lookout. The panoramic views of the northern Rockies from the top were absolutely breathtaking and the perfect way to wrap up this backroads adventure!
