The military has an incredibly sophisticated system for flagging potential BAH fraud.

It's similar to the way credit card companies track fraud and identity theft.

The system looks for inconsistencies between the location of the address you have on file and the actions you take on a day to day basis.

Here are some of the most common ways that people get flagged:

🚩 Billing for medical services

🚩 Where your kids are enrolled in school

🚩 Biometric data that is collected and verified every time you scan onto base

If you are flagged, someone will probably do a knock and talk. An agent will physically go to the address listed and find out if you and/or your spouse are actually living there.

Mr. Bilecki was featured on a full-length documentary entitled The Last Line of Defense which aired nationally on The Bio Channel in February of 2015.

He enjoys a “Superb 10.0” rating on Avvo, was recognized as a “10 Best – Hawaii” attorney by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys, and is certified through the Lead Counsel organization. Mr. Bilecki is a veteran of the U.S. Army JAG Corps. His first duty assignment in the military was at Fort Hood, Texas where he served as a military defense counsel.

He was then stationed in Honolulu, HI, and served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and later as an International Law Attorney focusing on the Asia-Pacific Theater.

Finally, he concluded his military career with a two-year tour in Seoul, Korea as the Senior Defense Counsel for the Army in Asia. During his military career, Mr. Bilecki has performed duties in Iraq, the Philippines, South East Asia, and Southern Africa.
