There have been a lot of dingoes around in my area this year, probably due to the last two wet seasons being very long and wet. The wallabies are in record numbers, meaning more food for dingoes. I have domestic sheep and goats, with newborn offspring at the moment, so dingoes are a pest I don't want on my property.
Hunting these animals with a rifle has always proven to be very difficult for me. Their senses and cunning when it comes to humans is almost supernatural, so I have taken to using traps, with a bit more success. Still takes time and patience, but I find it easier than normal hunting.
There have been some feral cats around as well, so I put out some traps for them at the same time.
