Rue Étienne-Marcel is a street in Paris located on the border between the 1st and 2nd arrondissements.
This street was opened in 1858, between Boulevard de Sébastopol and Rue Montorgueil.
In 1880, it was extended to Rue Herold and Rue d'Argout.
It was renamed "Rue Étienne-Marcel" in 1881.
In 1883, it was extended again to Place des Victoires, notably eliminating the Hôtel de Massiac, famous for having been the headquarters of the Hôtel de Massiac Club during the Revolution.
